About The Diabetics Doing Things Podcast
The Diabetics Doing Things Podcast is a weekly program hosted by Rob Howe, the founder of the show and a fellow Type-1 diabetic. The podcast takes on an intimate one-on-one format where Rob engages in deep conversations with other individuals with Type-1 diabetes. It’s about showcasing that being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes isn’t the end but rather the start of an incredible journey.
Diabetics Doing Things was founded based on Rob’s belief that everyone should have access to inspiring stories from their peers dealing with similar health challenges. He noticed some people didn’t get as much support at diagnosis as he did, making him realize how crucial these narratives are for encouragement and hope. Through this platform, Rob seeks to build a vibrant community offering positivity, useful strategies and tools for coping with diabetes while also educating others about what life is like living with this condition.
The podcast has grown significantly since its inception and now includes collaborations such as working alongside North Texas Food Bank starting 2022 which aims to create practical solutions for diabetics. Regularly joined by Eritrea Mussa Khan who also lives with type-1 diabetes (T1D), they continuously bring forth empowering tales from members of the diabetic community accomplishing great things despite their diagnoses.
Diabetics Doing Things serves as an inspirational beacon for those living with Type-1 Diabetes.
