The Start Of Call Her Daddy

Two regular girls and Roommates Alexandra Cooper and Sofia Franklyn first launched the podcast in 2018. A month later, due to its popularity and the high number of downloads, Barstool Sports purchased the podcast and employed the two women to still host it.

Call Her Daddy Podcast is a no-filter show getting down on women’s empowerment and feminism.

The duo was famous for their perspectives on sex and relationship, New York life, and the new generation’s philosophy. Most episodes are unscripted chatters, full of puns, connections to old episodes, sex tips, social scenes and embarrassing moments. Since its debut, the podcast has accumulated dozens of devoted fans in two years and climbed to 20th place on Apple Podcasts.

The Podcast Drama

Many fans were curious as to why Sofia left Call Her Daddy Podcast.

Things between Alex, Sofia and Barstool reached a dead-end in 2020. The ladies thought they had outgrown the platform and were worth more than what they were being paid. Disputes over salaries, content ownership, and merchandising money, contrasting ambitions for the show, ultimately resulted in Sofia leaving. Since then, Cooper has been hosting Call Her Daddy on her own.

And on July 2021, the in-demand podcast exited Barstool Sports for an exclusive contract with the streaming service Spotify. The deal is allegedly worth $60 million and was the biggest Spotify has ever placed for a show hosted by a woman.

While Cooper was doing the show solo and has become a massive celebrity, Barstool sports still runs the show’s merch.

Call Her Daddy Season Finale & Season 2

Call Her Daddy broadcasted its season finale on May 19, 2021, causing legions of fans to be left worried about its next plan. However, the second season was just released on September 28, 2022. It was a video podcast featuring a deeper conversation with Hailey Bieber.

Call Her Daddy Season 2 aired its new look, logo and layout. Cooper didn’t fail her fans when she mentioned they’d be getting a lot more of Call Her Daddy.

Considering the peculiar identity of the podcast, people will either detest or like it.

Is Call Her Daddy Worth Listening To?

Admit it, most of us are not comfortable openly discussing sex; however, the podcast provides a platform for many to get used to these kinds of intimate topics. The show fosters the thought that there’s no harm in being open regarding your sexuality, and relationships don’t have to follow the old norms.

Call Her Daddy just explains ancient stereotypes are inaccurate. Women can breathe easily without flowers, chocolates and cuddles. They enlighten you that millennials are revising their opinions on love, relationship, sex, and the meaning of having a significant other.

The show’s courageous and daring nature was misunderstood as immature and improper. Which banned most individuals from catching the inspiring messages. It delivered behind the funny sayings and within the personal stories. This podcast conveys most women’s journey of realizing that they can impose their rules on relationships rather than being dependent on the ones established by a patriarchal system.

What I Don’t Like On The Podcast?

Some can’t deny that Call Her Daddy suggests women’s worth is in their sexual capacities. Supporting that casual sex is what men desire and that women must fulfill their wants and expectations to fit this harsh and terrible norm is disturbing.

They standardize toxic relationships by telling people how to behave in relationships, placing females at psychological risk. They just landed on a never-ending cycle of authority games.

Despite these, they are worth the extra time!

Overall Impression On Call Her Daddy Podcast

A woman must work to stop unjust patriarchal power systems. Regardless of what others say, always remember to accept them with reservations. Because what is practical to one woman may not be as effective to you. And whatever you do, do it with confidence.

If you’re a college student or a 20-something looking for fun and wanting to ride out. The ambiguous world of sex and relationships, “Call Her Daddy” is the podcast for you. Give our lady a listen!
