About The Host
Meet Jeff Crank, the voice behind the American Potential podcast. Raised in Colorado, Jeff is deeply rooted in the western United States.
He’s a bit of a political aficionado, working with advocacy group Americans for Prosperity – where he served first as the Colorado State Director, then as their Chief Operating Officer, and now as a regional vice president. His experiences stretch back to his stint as a congressional staffer to U.S. Congressman Joel Hefley (1991-1998), during which he wrote several pieces of legislation, including the Military Family Housing Privatization Act. He even took a crack at Congress himself twice, running for the Republican nomination in Colorado’s 5th district in 2006 and 2008.
Yet, politics isn’t his only jam. He’s a real estate investor and once had a radio show called The Jeff Crank Show. And for a few years, he put on his strategist hat and ran a political consulting firm, Aegis Strategic. He used these experiences to select and train political candidates.
Despite all the work, Jeff has a commitment to community service too. He once served on the board of Life Network, earning the Champion of Life Award in 2004. And back home in El Paso County, he served as the Co-Chairman of the Bush-Cheney Presidential Campaign in 2004.
When not engaging in public service, Jeff spends his free time hunting throughout the U.S., Canada, and Africa. He especially enjoys hunting pheasant and big game in the western U.S., always in the company of his favorite hunting partners – his children, Joel and Jessica, and their loyal dog, Indy.
Yep, Jeff Crank is quite the character. A family man, friend, influential politician, and successful businessman – he is a person of substance, committed to making a difference in the world.
