They cover cases that range from completely unknown to nationally known, but they’re always Louisiana-based in some way or another. Kellye’s favorite cases are the ones that nobody knows about, and they’re always interesting to hear. 

One episode is about the unsolved murder of Mrs. Evelyn Lopoo, which took many years before a jury would hear the story of what happened in broad daylight on a Friday. Another episode is about the Nathan Stringer case, which involves finger-pointing and questionable witnesses. And there’s an episode about the Brian Horn case, in which a twice-convicted sexual predator was able to lure and eliminate a precious life in such a cold and calculated way.

About the Hosts

Kellye and Kyler are the hosts of the CenLaw podcast. They met while playing Call of Duty Mobile and have been inseparable ever since. They have two kids, a daughter who’s almost ten (10) and a son who’s almost one (1). During the week, Kellye works as a courthouse secretary while Kyler works with her dad doing contractor work. 

Kellye has always been a true crime fan, devouring Ann Rule novels and watching Forensic Files and Dateline to fall asleep. She and Kyler would discuss the cases that came up, which got Kellye thinking about sharing interesting cases from Louisiana that aren’t well-known. She asked Kyler if he’d co-host with her on a podcast, and he said yes. 

They carve out time to record and release episodes every other week to stay consistent. They hope to keep bringing interesting stories to their audience and keep them coming back for more.

Seriously, you won’t be able to tear yourself away. It’s captivating, thrilling, and downright addictive.

Aspect That Might Be Off-Putting To Some

I mentioned before that Kyle has this habit of throwing questions and comments every now and then. It’s not like those annoying interruptions that you just wanna skip through. No, this is different. It’s actually pretty appealing.

But not everyone might be into this style. Some listeners might not want all these interjections while Kellye is trying to tell the story. I mean, I can see why. Sometimes you just wanna sit back, relax, and let the story flow without any distractions. It’s like when you’re watching a movie and someone keeps pausing it every five minutes to ask you a question. It can get a bit frustrating, right?

At the end of the day, it all comes down to personal taste. Different strokes for different folks, as they say.
