Who Are The Hosts

Katie is a news anchor and investigative reporter for WCTV Eyewitness News at 4 p.m. She always wanted to be a reporter since she was a kid. Previously, she worked as an anchor and reporter for KESQ in Palm Springs, CA and as an evening news anchor at KFBB in Great Falls, MT. She also interned at Entertainment Tonight in LA.

Katie created the “Unsolved” series at WCTV, which looks into missing persons and cold cases in the area. She spends a lot of time investigating, filming, and writing each story. The series received an award for “Best Investigative Series” in 2022.

Em is a former Special Agent with a Masters in Forensic Psychology. She comes from a family of cops and lawyers. She was inspired to catch bad guys after watching The Bone Collector at a young age. Em interned at the coroner’s office during college and later studied Forensic Psychology to understand the minds of criminals. She joined her agency to work on violent crimes.

Em and Katie thought that they had something valuable to contribute to the true crime community. They believed they could bring a fresh outlook to the way true crime cases are presented. As a result, they came up with Two Sleuths.

What Makes This Podcast Special

I absolutely love listening to the Two Sleuths podcast! Katie and Em are the ultimate investigators, and their analysis skills are top-notch. I’m not surprised that one of them is a former special agent because their research and attention to detail are just incredible.

What I like about this podcast is that it’s not exaggerated or speculative. They don’t just throw out wild theories for the sake of it. No, they really put their back into researching these cases. What you get is a thorough presentation of facts, laid out in a way that’s easy to digest. There’s no beating around the bush or fancy language designed to confuse listeners.

Katie and Em are the definitions of ‘they know what they’re talking about’. They’re experts, and it shows.

But what really sets this podcast apart for me is the fact that they use their platform to help victims and their families with little or no voice to find justice. They share resources like the domestic violence hotline, and they encourage listeners to come forward if they know anything about the cases they’re discussing. It’s clear that they’re not just doing this for entertainment; they genuinely care about making a difference in the world. It’s refreshingly human in a way.

Lastly, the intro music for the Two Sleuths podcast is simply amazing. It totally captures the vibe of some super intriguing investigative cases. I mean, it just hooks you in right from the start and makes you crave more.

The Two Sleuths podcast is a must-listen for anyone interested in true crime.
