Those Weekend Golf Guys Podcast Overview

Those Weekend Golf Guys podcast is a refreshing and unique golf talk radio show that brings together the Golf Magazine Top 100 Teacher with an outstanding radio personality. Unlike other shows hosted by former pro golfers, this podcast is all about talking to average golfers like us who may not have super long drives or expert-level skills.

Hosted by John Ashton and Jeff Smith, Those Weekend Golf Guys podcast ensures that it doesn’t talk down to its listeners. It understands that our average drive might be less than 300 yards and our go-to club for a 160-yard fairway shot might be a 6 iron instead of a pitching wedge. This makes the show relatable and engaging for regular folks who love playing golf but don’t have professional aspirations.

The podcast covers various topics related to golf, catering specifically to the average golfer’s interests and struggles. They would visit a golf course or other golfing venue every week and discuss the most interesting topics in golf at that time. Plus, it discusses tips and techniques for improving our game, providing insights from one of the top Golf teachers. Whether it’s advice on how to improve your swing, chip shots, or putting skills, you can expect practical tips without any unnecessary jargon or complicated explanations.

Moreover, Those Weekend Golf Guys podcast also creates an inclusive community where ordinary golf enthusiasts can connect with each other through shared experiences. The hosts understand that breaking 80 may feel like an elusive dream for many of us but still encourage us to enjoy the game at our own pace.

In essence, if you are looking for a casual yet informative Golf Talk Radio Show that speaks directly to everyday golfers like us – those who appreciate their mortal limitations while embracing the joy of playing this divine sport – then Those Weekend Golf Guys is just what you need!

Meet John Ashton and Jeff Smith, the hosts of our entertaining Golf Show podcast.

John Ashton, a fantastic radio personality and a not-so-great golfer. He’s entertained audiences all over the country, from Bangor to Atlanta, and everywhere in between. While he may struggle on many golf courses, he brings passion and humor to our Golf Show that makes it incredibly entertaining. He shares his frustrations, challenges, wins, and losses with you – because chances are, you’ve experienced them too.

And now let’s introduce Jeff Smith, PGA – your relatable golf instructor. Unlike other pros who might make you feel embarrassed about your skills (or lack thereof), Jeff understands us “normal people” and our fears of being judged on the course. With his innate ability to create word pictures even on the radio, Jeff provides clear tips and techniques that will help you improve your game immediately.

Together, John and Jeff bring you an engaging podcast where they discuss all things golf – from hilarious anecdotes to practical tips for improvement.

Reason To Tune In To The Podcast

I absolutely love Those Weekend Golf Guys podcast! First of all, the hosts John and Jeff are just fantastic. They have this laid-back vibe that makes you feel like you’re chilling with your buddies at a bar. And speaking of bars, the intro and outro music totally gives off that cowboy vibe, like you’re stepping into some cool saloon.

Now, here’s the thing: I don’t know squat about golf. Like seriously, I couldn’t even tell a putter from a driver if my life depended on it. But guess what? That doesn’t matter one bit when it comes to enjoying this show.

You see, John and Jeff cater to us average folks who simply love the game but aren’t pros by any stretch of the imagination. They provide heaps of insightful tips in such an entertaining way that even someone as clueless as me can grasp them.

And man oh man, these guys know how to keep it light and funny! Their sense of humor is spot-on and they crack jokes left and right throughout each episode. It’s not just educational; it’s downright hilarious.

I gotta say though – what sets Those Weekend Golf Guys apart is their engaging discussions. They dive deep into various aspects of golf in a way that keeps you hooked from start to finish (and trust me, I’m usually easily distracted). Plus, they dish out practical advice that actually makes sense for everyday players like us.

So whether you’re an avid golfer or someone who doesn’t know their sand wedge from their 9-iron (like yours truly), give Those Weekend Golf Guys a listen. You’ll learn something new while having plenty of laughs along the way.

The Little Downside

Well, when it comes to the podcast, there’s definitely a difference in sound quality between the two. Now, don’t get me wrong, I can still understand Jeff just fine. But if I had to pinpoint something that bugs me a bit about the show, it would be the sound quality discrepancy.

You see when one person’s voice sounds crystal clear while the other might be a bit muffled or distorted, well…it can throw things off balance. But hey, despite that hiccup on Jeff’s end, I’m still able to enjoy their conversations just fine!
